France and Brazil are set to meet in a friendly match at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, in March as they prepare for the 2026 World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, as per a source cited by ESPN.
This rematch of the 1998 World Cup final, which saw France emerge victorious, is scheduled for March 28. Brazil will also engage in another friendly against Croatia on March 31 in Orlando.
The two football federations have consented to host the match in the U.S. to gear up for the World Cup. Brazil has secured qualification, while France can also secure its place with a victory over Ukraine this Thursday.
Additionally, France is expected to play another friendly after the encounter with Brazil, with sources indicating that either Mexico or the U.S. might be the opposing team.
This clash will feature several club players from top European teams potentially confronting each other.
Kylian Mbappé, Aurélien Tchouaméni, and Eduardo Camavinga may go up against Real Madrid counterparts Éder Militão, Vinícius Júnior, and Rodrygo. Furthermore, Arsenal‘s Gabriel Magalhes, Gabriel Martinelli, and William Saliba might find themselves on opposing sides, while PSG stars Ousmane Dembélé, Désiré Doué, and Bradley Barcola are expected to match up against Marquinhos.
