Wisconsin football lands commitment from 2027 lineman, son of current athletic director

Wisconsin football landed its first class of 2027 commitment on Wednesday: three-star in-state offensive tackle Ethan McIntosh. The Badgers offered the Verona, Wisconsin, native back in June. Notably, he’s the son of current athletic director Chris McIntosh.

247Sports currently lists the Verona Area High School junior as the No. 566 player in the class of 2027, the No. 50 offensive tackle and the No. 5 recruit from the state of Wisconsin. He committed to the Badgers over Power Four offers from Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Nebraska and Northwestern.

Wisconsin’s primary focus remains on the class of 2026, where it recently flipped running back Qwantavius Wiggins from FIU. After the move, the Badgers’ 2026 class ranks No. 58 in the nation and No. 15 in the Big Ten. With McIntosh, the program’s class of 2027 sits at No. 44 nationally and No. 9 in the conference.
