After Colorado Avalanche swept their weekend back-to-back in western Canada, the Mile High Hockey Lab crew of Ezra Parter, Brennan Vogt, Jackie Kay and host Adrian Hernandez gathered to break down the continued dominance of the hockey club.
Topics include Gavin Brindley’s new contract extension and what that may or may not mean moving forward, Gabe Landeskog’s second called back goal and the upcoming match versus Anaheim which proved victorious. The player of the week segment was brought back as well, was it anyone other than NHL first star of the week Nathan MacKinnon?
We broached a controversial thought as well, is Scott Wedgewood Colorado’s starting goalie right now? Of course the organization made a substantial investment in Mackenzie Blackwood so the net will be his eventually but is it really Wedgewood’s crease for the time being and not just about rest and rehab? After our musings the Avalanche signed Wedgewood to a one-year contract extension and Bednar shared some thoughts consistent with our theory.
We had a special Bold Predictions segment where the absent Evan Liu earned his first DING of the season, a listener DING was awarded as well and the panel double dipped on their predictions for the upcoming week.
