‘Silenced all the doubters’: Pros react to Bo Nickal’s insane head kick knockout at UFC 322

Bo Nickal is back.

Coming off of the first loss of his MMA career, Nickal returned to the win column in style at UFC 322, blasting Rodolfo Vieira with a head kick in the third round that left the Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist flat on the mat. The knockout blow capped off a strong bounce-back performance from Nickal, who improved to 8-1 as a pro.

Nickal is one of the most decorated collegiate wrestlers of all time, having won three NCAA Division-I championships, and expectations for his UFC run have been sky high. He went 4-0 before falling to the far more experienced Reinier de Ridder this past May, but regained at least some measure of hype with his latest spectacular finish.

The MMA community was left buzzing from Bo’s head kick, with Henry Cejudo suggesting he “silenced all the doubters.”
