Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs said he will be a true game-time decision for Sunday’s showdown with the Minnesota Vikings after suffering a knee contusion against the New York Giants in Week 11.
Jacobs, who missed practice Wednesday, returned in a limited capacity on Thursday. He said he suffered the injury on the second play of the game against the Giants, tried to play through the issue but had to exit when the pain got worse and worse and the swelling prevented him being himself on the field.

«When you hit any part of your knee, when it swells up, you can’t really bend. I could play through the pain, but I couldn’t get through the motion. I couldn’t really run,» Jacobs said.
Jacobs said the swelling in his knee has already gone down by 50 or 60 percent and he’s now waiting for his full range of motion to return.
«It’s mostly just the swelling. I’m truly day to day. Really day to day,» Jacobs said.
An MRI on Monday revealed massive swelling but no major injury, which was a big relief considering the amount of pain Jacobs was in after the injury in New York.

The veteran running back also said he has considered the fact that the Packers have a quick turnaround next week. The Packers face the Vikings on Sunday and then go to Detroit to play the Lions on Thursday, or Thanksgiving Day.
«The quick turnaround Thursday. Do you play and potentially reaggravate it and get more swelling and then you miss the next week and potentially the next week? Or do you rest and then just go Thursday? That’s something I’ve been thinking about more and more as we get closer. What I can guarantee is I’m going to put my best foot forward and if I feel like I can go and it’s not going to hinder the team, then I’m going to go. It’s truly going to be a game-time decision.»
