Gonzaga forced 23 turnovers and boasted a shooting percentage of 68 from the field, establishing a new season high. Freshman guard Mario Saint‑Supery excelled with 16 points, seven assists, and six steals in his initial collegiate starting appearance, while ten out of the eleven players who played managed to score.

The outcome has assisted in elevating Gonzaga to the No. 3 position in the KenPom rankings this week, marking a notable achievement under long-time coach Mark Few. With three regular-season WCC titles already secured and this year’s lineup including more experienced talent and fewer returnees than traditionally, Few has indicated the program seeks to make an impact before transitioning to the Pac-12 in 2026-27.

The depth and execution displayed position the Zags favorably for future contests. However, two significant challenges in the upcoming three games lie ahead for Few’s squad. No. 11 Alabama is first on the agenda followed by Maryland and No. 12 Kentucky.
