The Las Vegas Raiders fired Chip Kelly as their offensive coordinator on Monday and replaced him with… somebody who has been the Raiders offensive coordinator twice before.
Quarterbacks coach Greg Olson (not to be confused with the former NFL tight end) will once again call plays on offense for the Raiders, a job he’s previously held twice. Olson was first the Raiders offensive coordinator for Dennis Allen and returned to the same job from 2018-2021 for Jon Gruden.

After returning to the Raiders for a third time as a quarterbacks coach, Olson has somehow landed right back in the chair as offensive coordinator. Maybe third time’s a charm for Olson and the Raiders?
Per Pete Carroll: Raiders QB coach Greg Olson is being named the team’s new offensive coordinator — again.
This will be Olson’s third stint as the Raiders offensive coordinator. Olson held the job in 2013-14, then again from 2018-2021, and again now. pic.twitter.com/UnObIUhZo0

To be honest, we’re getting «Somehow, Palpatine returned» vibes from this.
