Chelsea welcomed Barcelona at Stamford Bridge earlier tonight as they looked to secure a positive result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Blues made a strong start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 27th minute when Jules Kounde scored an unfortunate own goal. Ronald Araujo was sent off by the referee in the 44th minute as Enzo Maresca’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Estevao doubled his team’s advantage in the 55th minute before Liam Delap killed the game off in the 73rd minute. The contest ended with Chelsea earning an impressive 3-0 win in front of their home fans.

Sanchez made a couple of impressive saves at the back and secured an important clean sheet tonight.

He earned possession back once and made one good chance in the final third. Gusto was replaced at half-time.

Fofana cleared the danger when he could and was good on the ball.

He performed his defensive duties well and did enough to keep a clean sheet.

LB: Marc Cucurella – 7.5/10
He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.
CM: Reece James – 7.5/10
James caught the eye at times in the opponent’s half and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
CM: Moises Caicedo – 7/10
He anchored the midfield with conviction and made two key chances in the final third.
RW: Estevao – 8/10
Estevao was a constant menace on the right flank and managed to score Chelsea’s second goal in the 55th minute.

He linked up play well with others around him and has got an assist to show for his efforts.
LW: Alejandro Garnacho – 7/10
Garnacho managed to shine at times on the left wing, but there was no goal for him.
