Greetings from San Diego! We’ve closed yet another chapter of the NFL season, and this week’s waiver-wire column highlights a handful of must-add players, especially as injuries mount and bye weeks start to take their toll.
In no particular order, here are my top 15 waiver wire options to add for Week 13. I also added a honorable mention section at the bottom of the article. My one rule that I have set for this is that a player must be rostered in less than 60 percent of ESPN leagues to be eligible in my column.

Quarterbacks
Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals (Rostered: 46.7%): Brissett has now started six games for the Cardinals, and in every appearance he has scored at least 18 fantasy points, including multiple passing touchdowns in five of them. His 18.68-point outing last Sunday was actually his lowest of the season. A big reason for his steady production is game script—Arizona is often playing from behind, helping him average 43 pass attempts per game. He’s likely to trail again in Week 13 against the Buccaneers, so expect another high-volume outing.

Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars (Rostered: 28.7%): For the first time since Week 2, Lawrence threw three touchdown passes in last week’s win over the Cardinals. He also topped 250 passing yards—his most since Week 7—and has rushed for 20-plus yards in three of his last four games. However, he also made several costly mistakes and finished with a season-high three interceptions. He has a chance to rebound in Week 13 against the Titans, who have allowed quarterbacks to post strong fantasy numbers this season.
Running Backs
Devin Neal, New Orleans Saints (Rostered: 2%): Neal should be a top waiver priority this week. With Alvin Kamara expected to miss time because of an MCL sprain, Neal is in line for a major increase in workload. The rookie is a jack-of-all-trades player who saw 74% of snaps last week, rushing for 18 yards on seven attempts and finishing with 11.1 fantasy points. Most of that production came through the air, as he caught five passes for 43 yards. He gets a favorable Week 13 matchup against the Dolphins, who have allowed the fourth-most rushing yards and eighth-most receiving yards to running backs.

Chris Rodriguez Jr., Washington Commanders (Rostered: 8.8%): Before the bye, Rodriguez posted season highs in snaps, carries and yards. While rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt has drawn most of the attention among Washington’s running backs this season, a shift toward Rodriguez appears imminent. Even with a tough matchup this week against the Broncos, he’s a must-add given his favorable remaining schedule, which includes the Vikings, Giants, Cowboys and the Eagles twice.

Devin Singletary, New York Giants (Rostered: 34.1%): Singletary may not see as much work as Tyrone Tracy Jr., but he still gets a solid share of touches. Against the Lions, he logged 14 carries for 47 yards. Tracy is more of the pass-catching option, though Singletary has shown receiving upside as well, highlighted by his three-catch, 53-yard outing against the Bears. He has posted double-digit touches in back-to-back weeks, making him an intriguing flex play. And in the previous week against the Packers, he scored twice inside the 5-yard line. Singletary should be added while he’s still available.
Dylan Sampson, Cleveland Browns (Rostered: 7.2%): Sampson recorded his first double-digit fantasy performance since Week 1, highlighted by a 66-yard touchdown reception—Shedeur Sanders’ first passing score. With Quinshon Judkins visiting the medical tent multiple times, Sampson also saw seven carries for 23 yards. Judkins was able to finish the game and does not carry an early injury designation heading into Week 13, but it’s still worth monitoring. If Judkins is sidelined, Sampson becomes a must-start against the 49ers, who are below average against the run and have allowed the sixth-most receiving yards to running backs. Even without an injury boost, Sampson is worth a flier.

Wide Receivers
Chimere Dike, Tennessee Titans (Rostered: 11.9%): Dike has taken advantage of the absences of Calvin Ridley and Elic Ayomanor. Against the Seahawks, the fourth-round rookie posted a 5-44-1 receiving line and added a 90-yard punt return touchdown. He has become a reliable option for Cam Ward and has been elevated into a key role in the Titans’ offense. In Week 13, he faces the Jaguars, who have allowed the fifth-most touchdowns and eighth-most receptions to wide receivers. Dike should be added in all league formats.

Andrei Iosivas, Cincinnati Bengals (Rostered: 10.9%): Iosivas is expected to see an increased role with Tee Higgins likely to miss the Thanksgiving matchup against the Ravens due to a concussion. With Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase returning, the setup is favorable for Iosivas to produce. Baltimore has allowed the ninth-most fantasy points per game and the eighth-most touchdowns to wideouts. Iosivas is a strong streaming option this week.
John Metchie III, New York Jets (Rostered: 0.6%): Metchie has emerged as a viable option in the Jets’ depleted receiving corps. He has played at least 80% of snaps in each of the last two games and has caught nine of 10 targets for 110 yards and two touchdowns over that span. It’s rare to recommend a Jets receiver, but Metchie has earned flex consideration. He gets the Falcons in Week 13, a defense that has been average against wideouts and is allowing 8.0 yards per target. Metchie is worth a flier.

Tight Ends
Harold Fannin Jr., Cleveland Browns (Rostered: 48.1%): Fannin has logged three straight single-digit fantasy performances, but he continues to hold a sizable role in the Browns’ offense. Over that stretch, he has seen 18 targets and is averaging at least 10 yards per reception. He has also been targeted five or more times in six straight games. With Shedeur Sanders under center this week, Fannin draws a favorable matchup against the 49ers, who have allowed the second-most touchdowns, seventh-most receptions and 10th-most yards to tight ends. At this point in the season, it’s hard to believe he’s still available in more than half of leagues.

Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars (Rostered: 10.8%): Strange returned to the lineup last week against the Cardinals and picked up where he left off, catching all five of his targets for 93 yards and averaging 18.6 yards per reception. With Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter still sidelined, the Jaguars need more production from their pass-catchers, and Strange has delivered at least 59 yards in three of his six games this season. If you need help at tight end, Strange is a strong pickup. However, he’s not a must-start this week against the Titans, who have allowed the seventh-fewest touchdowns, eighth-fewest fantasy points per game and ninth-fewest yards to tight ends. Add Strange while you still can.

Theo Johnson, New York Giants (Rostered: 54.8%): Johnson has been one of the most underrated tight ends in the league during his rookie season. He has topped 70 receiving yards in two of his last three games and has caught at least three passes in six straight. Whether it’s Jaxson Dart or Jameis Winston under center, Johnson remains a key part of the Giants’ offense. He enters Week 13 with a favorable matchup against the Patriots, who have struggled against the pass, allowing 20 passing touchdowns and the ninth-most fantasy points per game to tight ends. Johnson is a solid addition for managers in need of help at the position.
Defenses
Los Angeles Chargers defense (Rostered: 29.4%): The Chargers defense should be on everyone’s radar this week as they face the struggling Raiders. Las Vegas has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses. Geno Smith has thrown a league-high 13 interceptions and is taking pressure and sacks at the second-highest rate in the NFL. Coming off their bye, the Chargers are a strong bet for a double-digit fantasy outing. Add them where available.

Jacksonville Jaguars defense (Rostered: 51.5%): Targeting any defense playing the Titans has been a winning strategy. Tennessee has allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses, given up pressure at the highest rate in the league and surrendered a league-high 45 sacks. The Titans have also turned the ball over 14 times and allowed two defensive touchdowns. Jacksonville is firmly in the streaming conversation this week.
San Francisco 49ers defense (Rostered: 20.7%): The 49ers posted 10 fantasy points Monday night against the Panthers and get another favorable matchup in Week 13 against the Browns. Cleveland will start rookie Shedeur Sanders for the second time, which plays into San Francisco’s hands. The Browns have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing defenses, the eighth-most sacks and 13 total turnovers. While the 49ers’ pass rush has been inconsistent, Cleveland’s offensive line has allowed above-average pressure, meaning Sanders could be under duress throughout the game.
