The star of the Milwaukee Bucks, Giannis Antetokounmpo, made his return to the starting lineup for the game on Saturday night against the Chicago Bulls following an absence of eight games.
According to head coach Doc Rivers, Antetokounmpo will likely have a limit on his minutes this Saturday. He has been sidelined since Dec. 3 due to a strain in his right calf.
Without Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee has recorded a 2-6 record in the last eight games, dropping to 11th in the Eastern Conference with a total of 12 wins and 19 losses.
Earlier this month, Antetokounmpo referred to his injury as a soleus strain, which is similar to the injury that kept him from participating in the 2024 playoffs.
Throughout 17 games this season, Antetokounmpo has posted averages of 28.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.1 assists, shooting an impressive 63.9% from the floor. The Bucks are 9-8 in games he plays, contrasting with a 3-11 record when he is not on the court.
