The Minnesota Vikings’ 2025 NFL Draft class was not the best in the league, but it was far from the worst.
They had some missed chances like trading back to collect an extra first-round pick in 2026 as the Rams did right behind them in April. They also some reached on players at positions that were not needed, like Tai Felton and Gavin Bartholomew.

However, one player is being labeled their «Strongest Building Block» from the 2025 NFL Draft: Donovan Jackson.
Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon wrote up each team’s best building block. When it came to Jackson, he wrote, «The first-round pick has been a reliable presence in the interior offensive line all season, even though he might not be fully healthy. The team’s only top-100 draft choice appears to be on track to play a major role for years to come.»
As he mentions, Jackson has played well and looks to be a keystone figure in the Vikings’ offensive line. In a year that had so much promise for the group with a lot of letdown, Jackson has remained a consistent presence for an offense that has been anything but.
