The latest Coaches and AP basketball polls dropped on Monday, and the Big Ten is at the center of a lot of the movement in the polls thanks to an eventful week in the conference. For Michigan State, the Spartans were able to hold onto their top-15 rating, rebounding from a tough loss to Nebraska on the road to take out USC and Northwestern at home, back-to-back. MSU came in at No. 12 in both polls this week.
The big news of the week was around former No. 1-ranked Michigan, who lost at home to Wisconsin, knocking them down to No. 3 in the country in the Coaches poll and No. 4 in the AP. Purdue is just behind them at No. 5 in both polls, while Nebraska, still undefeated, is now up to No. 10 in the Coaches poll and No. 8 in the AP. Illinois is right behind MSU at No. 13 in both polls, while Iowa rounds out the Big Ten at No. 23 in the Coaches poll (and unranked in the AP).
