The Eagles are putting in work to start building their roster for the 2026 NFL season and have already signed 12 players to future/reserve contracts.
Three new names have been revealed, with the team announcing the additions of S Andre’ Sam, TE E.J. Jenkins, and OT John Ojukwu.

Sam has had a smattering of experience with the Eagles over the past two seasons, and was regularly elevated to the game day roster following rookie Andrew Mukuba’s season-ending fractured fibula. He predominantly saw special teams reps in the three regular season games he was active for, but did get three defensive snaps, as well. The safety position for Philadelphia is a bit of a question mark, as Reed Blankenship is set to hit free agency and veteran Marcus Epps’ future with the team is unclear, so Sam will bring some familiar depth.
E.J. Jenkins was used in a similar fashion last season, and was elevated several times as the tight end group dealt with injuries to Dallas Goedert and Grant Calcaterra. The TE room is in a similar situation as the safeties with regard to the depth, and Goedert, Calcaterra and Kyler Grayson are all free agents this spring.
Offensive tackle John Ojukwu was with the Titans for the past three seasons, and played in 16 games during that time — 11 of which were during the 2024 NFL season. The OT spent most of his time on the practice squad, but was regularly elevated depending on injuries. The Eagles will always prioritize building the trenches, and with Lane Johnson closer to retirement, they’ll be interested in depth options.
