However, West Ham manager Nuno Espirito Santo and the Hammers now have to look elsewhere in their bid to strengthen a key department at the London Stadium club. Timber is set to snub them and join Olympique Marseille following a verbal agreement, according to Italian journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Timber was not in the Feyenoord starting XI that lost 4-3 to Sparta Rotterdam yesterday and has played his last game for the Eredivisie club from the look of things. He would have been a solid signing for West Ham, but he is off to France and the Hammers will now move on to plan B. They secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday to pick up their fourth Premier League win of 2025-26. The Hammers are back in action this weekend when they host Sunderland and could do with new additions before the match.
