Alabama transfer offensive lineman officially commits to SEC program

Former Alabama offensive lineman Micah DeBose has officially committed to Vanderbilt, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett.

DeBose appeared in just one game for the Tide in 2025, as the true freshman struggled to make an impact throughout his first season in Tuscaloosa. The Mobile, Alabama native is a talented young player that could quickly become a focal point on the Vanderbilt offensive line, as DeBose has elite size and strength that could quickly be put on display with an increase in playing time.

DeBose could have appeared in a handful of games for the Tide in 2026, but the big man’s time in Tuscaloosa has ultimately come to an end, and the former four-star prospect will turn his attention to the Commodores.

DeBose was ranked as the No. 11 interior offensive lineman and the No. 205 player overall from the class of 2025, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. The former Alabama lineman was ranked as the No. 22 interior offensive lineman from the transfer portal as well, per 247Sports, as DeBose has officially found a new home and will more than likely thrive throughout his time in Nashville.

The Tide have lose multiple players on both offense and defense in recent weeks, with DeBose being the latest Crimson Tide player to sign with a new team.
