Xabi Alonso stated that Real Madrid must be «self-critical» while also being «thoughtful» in their response to Sunday’s 0-0 stalemate against Rayo Vallecano.
Madrid faced challenges in the LaLiga match in Vallecas, a game that came after a 1-0 loss in the Champions League to Liverpool earlier in the week.
Alonso’s squad remains at the top of the league standings with 31 points from 12 matches, as rivals Barcelona is set to play against Celta Vigo later on Sunday.
