Brazil has announced that Arsenal defender Gabriel will not be part of the squad for their match against Tunisia on Tuesday due to a thigh injury.
The centre-back exited just before the 60-minute mark during Brazil’s friendly with Senegal on Saturday.
«Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhães was assessed again this Sunday [16th] and underwent imaging that indicated a muscle injury in his right thigh,» the Brazilian federation stated.
«Consequently, the player will not join the team for the match against Tunisia in Lille. No additional player will be summoned to take his place.»

– Fortunate or unfortunate: How have Arsenal, Liverpool, and others performed?
This injury is a significant setback for Arsenal, whose title push this season has been fueled by Gabriel’s solid defensive displays.
He has been a vital part of a defense that has allowed just five goals in 11 Premier League matches. The centre-back also has three contributions to goals, including a last-minute winner against Newcastle United in September.
This injury raises concerns about Gabriel’s participation in the north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur following the international break.
