Dillian Whyte has broken his silence after his devastating defeat to Moses Itauma.

Whyte suffered a first round stoppage loss to rising heavyweight prospect, Itauma in Riyadh earlier this month.

‘The Body Snatcher’ was beaten for the fourth time in his professional career and for the first time since a sixth round loss to Tyson Fury in a bid for the WBC title in April 2022.

The 37-year-old though has vowed to rebuild again and ruled out retirement.

“This is not where my story ends,” Whyte posted on Instagram.

“I may have lost this fight, but not the fire that built me.

“Thank you to everyone who’s been standing by me through the highs and the lows.

“I’ll be back.”

Itauma secured his 13th straight professional victory and cemented his position as the number one contender to undisputed champion, Oleksandr Usyk’s WBO crown.

The 20-year-old called out the Ukrainian after his win against Whyte, but Usyk has been ordered to defend his WBO title against Joseph Parker.

The Brit’s manager Francis Warren has confirmed that he will return to the ring in December and has named the likes of Filip Hrgovic, Agit Kabayel and Kubrat Pulev as potential opponents.

“As he said on Saturday, if he gets the knock for a world title, he’ll open the door,” Warren told talkSPORT.

“And I don’t doubt that he’ll want to do that.

“Maybe not next, but within the next 12 months certainly.

“I do love the Hrgovic fight. I think that’s a good fight for Moses to make that next step-up onto that world level.

“Filip’s been there and done it.

“But there’s some other names out there.

“[Agit] Kabayel has been mentioned a few times.

“Michael Hunter, Jared Anderson and you’ve also got Pulev within the WBA, who holds a version of the world title.

“He’ll fight in December again this year.”
