Former 5-star Dylan Raiola expected to schedule visit to Oregon soon

For almost a month, the Oregon Ducks have been identified as a team to keep an eye on for Nebraska transfer quarterback Dylan Raiola. With the conclusion of the Ducks’ season approaching, Raiola is anticipated to arrange a visit to Eugene soon, according to On3’s Pete Nakos.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound quarterback has achieved a completion rate of 69.1% and has passed for 4,819 yards, 31 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions over two seasons at Nebraska.

Raiola was a five-star prospect, ranked as the No. 2 quarterback in the 2024 recruiting class, and started during both his true freshman and sophomore seasons as a Cornhusker. As a transfer, he is rated as a four-star and is the No. 5 quarterback and No. 14 overall player, as per 247 Sports.

Little has been reported regarding Raiola’s recruitment through the portal, as he has maintained a «low-key transfer recruitment to this point,» according to Nakos. However, with Oregon being mentioned early on as a school of interest, it seems that the former Cornhusker was waiting to book a visit until the Ducks’ season wrapped up.

The report also mentions the likelihood of Raiola’s younger brother, Dayton, potentially joining him at Oregon, as Dayton was previously committed to Nebraska before decommitting in November. Dayton is a three-star recruit and ranked as the No. 103 quarterback in the 2026 class.

The current Ducks starter, Dante Moore, has not yet revealed his intentions regarding returning to Eugene for another season or moving on to the NFL, simply stating, «I don’t know my decision yet,» when questioned after the College Football Playoff Semifinal defeat.

While Raiola has been a starter for two seasons at the college level, there is potential for him to join Oregon and redshirt for a season as Moore’s backup, should he choose to return. This mirrors the path Moore took, where he sat behind sixth-year senior Dillon Gabriel before stepping up as the Ducks’ starter, a scenario Raiola might aspire to follow.

Raiola will have two years of eligibility remaining.
