A former Indianapolis Colts quarterback has been selected in the UFL draft.
Jason Bean was one of two quarterbacks selected by the Louisville Kings. The other was Chandler Rogers.
Bean, who played his college football at North Texas and Kansas, went undrafted in 2024 and signed with the Colts as an undrafted rookie.

After going through training camp and the preseason with the Colts, he was signed to the team’s practice squad in 2024 following roster cutdowns.
On the Colts’ roster at that time, Bean was listed as a quarterback and a wide receiver — although he spent his time at the quarterback position in practice and played at that spot during preseason games.
In 2025, Bean again went through offseason programs, training camp, and the preseason with the Colts. He was released during roster cutdowns in late August but was not signed to the practice squad at that time.
In five preseason games with the Colts over those two summers, Bean completed 67.4% of his passes for 341 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. He also ran for 82 yards and two more touchdowns.

Bean had an impressive knack for making a big play.
The quarterback draft is Phase 1 of the UFL’s roster-building process. According to FOX Sports, on Jan. 10th, there was the Regional College Allocation, and on Jan. 13-14, there will be the UFL Draft, where the other position groups are addressed.
