Tuesday night brought some dreaded news for the Oregon Ducks fanbase, with leading running back Jordon Davison listed as ‘out’ for Friday’s Peach Bowl against the Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff semifinals, confirming some widespread speculation about a potential collarbone injury suffered by the freshman last week vs. the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
However, there was a silver lining for many Oregon fans, who noticed that running back Jay Harris, who had announced his intention to enter the transfer portal, was not listed as out, as the other transfer portal players were. Did this mean that Harris would still be able to play after joining the team for practice on Monday?

Well, according to the availability report on Wednesday night, that may still be the case. Harris is still not being listed on the availability report, despite reportedly officially entering the transfer portal on Wednesday. Whether or not that means that he can play on Friday or not is still a major question.

If Harris is able to play, it would be massive for the Ducks, who are otherwise down to a pair of healthy scholarship RBs on the roster — Noah Whittington and Dierre Hill. At this point, though, it seems unlikely that we get a determinant answer until warmups begind on Friday night ahead of the game.
