Real Madrid Castilla prodigy Joan Martinez is attracting interest from several European clubs, reports Guillermo Rai of The Athletic on Monday.
Martinez has had an impressive start to his season with Castilla, and given his age, 18, his development is progressing at a rapid pace, even after the ACL injury he suffered last year.
Borussia Dortmund are said to be one of the clubs that have shown an interest in signing him, and there are other top European clubs that would love to have him.
Real Madrid’s plan for Martinez is different, though. The player is expected to stay, as there is a lot of confidence in him from the club.
Real Madrid had renewed his contract after his season-ending injury last year. The contract included a release clause of around 70 million euros.
It remains to be seen what Real Madrid’s future plans are, and how many of them include Martinez.
