Juventus and Napoli are canvassing the market to find a new midfielder, and both have laid eyes on Alex Toth, who’s blossoming at Ferencváros. Several Bundesliga teams are keeping tabs on him, especially Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig. Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund could be interested too, Mediaset reported.
The youngster was promoted from the youth system two years ago and has quickly become a linchpin. He has notched 2 goals and 5 assists in 19 matches this campaign. He can play in multiple roles.

Juventus and Napoli would have to spend roughly €15M to acquire Toth in January. His price tag will rise if he stays put, given the competition and his clear trajectory. He already has some minor ties to Serie A, as he’s coached by Italian gaffer Marco Rossi in the Hungarian national team. He debuted last March and has started consistently since, notching nine appearances.
The 20-year-old has 54 matches with Ferencváros under his belt, during which he has hit the net 4 times and provided 15 assists.
Our Take on Napoli and Juventus Tracking Toth
The Bianconeri are a safer bet to invest in a prospect they really like. While they need help and some quality, they have the manpower to bring along a newcomer slowly. Instead, the Partenopei could do it only if they acquired multiple new pieces, as they are in dire straits because of their injuries. It’s tough sledding for a starlet to win over Antonio Conte and become a regular contributor right away, even though their brass has occasionally tried such a route.
