Miley Earns 9, Thiaw Rated 8.5 | Newcastle United Players Assessed In Commanding Victory Over Everton

Newcastle United faced off against Everton at the Hill Dickinson Stadium earlier this evening as they looked to secure a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Magpies made an electric start to the game as they scored the opening goal in the first minute when Malick Thiaw found the back of the net. Lewis Miley doubled Newcastle’s advantage in the 25th minute before Nick Woltemade put his team 3-0 ahead in the 45th minute. Eddie Howe’s men went into the half-time interval 3-0 up on the scoreline.

Thiaw scored again in the 58th minute, but Everton got a goal back thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s effort in the 70th minute. The contest finished with Newcastle securing a dominant 4-1 win away from home.

LB: Lewis Hall – 8/10

Hall was a positive influence at both ends of the field and ended the game with an assist to his name.

CM: Lewis Miley – 9/10

He caught the eye at times at the centre of the park and has got a goal and an assist to his name.

CM: Bruno Guimaraes – 7/10

Guimaraes anchored the midfield with conviction but struggled to make an impact going forward.

He earned the ball back once but struggled to get a foothold in the game.

Elanga came back to defend when required and was a threat in the final third. He has got an assist to show for his efforts.

He was a real handful for the opposition defenders and managed to score with a chipped effort in the 45th minute.

He was always willing to have a strike at goal but failed to find the back of the net.
