Official: Cape Town City signs striker Dženan Zajmović!

Zajmović is no stranger to the South African football scene, having previously made his mark with TS Galaxy. He joined the Mpumalanga side in July 2024 under then-coach Sead Ramović, where his prolific spell yielded 11 goals and three assists in 28 appearances across all competitions. His form earned him a move to Iran’s Zob Ahan Esfahan in August 2025, before returning to the country to link up with the Cape-based outfit.
The club, currently positioned fourth in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with 23 points from 14 matches, has publicly welcomed its new signing. In an official statement released on Sunday, the club expressed its confidence in Zajmović’s ability to strengthen their push for promotion: «We’re delighted to announce the signing of striker, Dženan Zajmović. Welcome, Dženan.»
Management believes his proven goal-scoring record and experience will add significant firepower to their frontline as they target a return to the DStv Premiership.
