Bournemouth is nearing a deal around £30.6m for Vasco da Gama forward Rayan.
The 19‑year‑old Brazilian is eager to make the leap to the Premier League to enhance his growth, while other European clubs have also shown interest.
There is rising confidence at the Vitality Stadium that they can acquire Rayan as a substitute for leading attacker Antoine Semenyo, who transferred to Manchester City for approximately £65m the previous week.
Should the transfer be completed, it would mark Bournemouth’s joint-second largest acquisition, following only the £32m signing of fellow forward Evanilson from Porto in 2024.
Rayan primarily plays as a left‑footed centre‑forward but is capable of operating on either side. The Brazil under-20 international netted 14 goals in 34 matches in Brazil’s top division last season.
Bournemouth has been among the most active clubs during the winter transfer period, having acquired Hungary midfielder Alex Toth for £10.4m from Ferencvaros on Tuesday.
Additionally, they are in discussions to bring in Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas on an initial loan that includes an obligation to purchase.
