A former Liverpool star has made a ridiculous claim on one Chelsea player this week as he compares him with Jadon Sancho.
Unfortunately, what comes with a boring international break is quite often we see more interviews being done and more quotes flying around the place, in order to fill content.

We will see former players out there speaking more, some of them who we hear from a lot and will quite like to hear from, others who we rarely ever hear from and suddenly they come out the woodwork and spout nonsense.
That is exactly what former Liverpool and England star John Barnes has done this week!
But before we get into that, Fabrizio Romano has put out some Chelsea transfer news on the Rodrygo from Real Madrid situation this morning.
A Chelsea pundit has told one of our players to stay at home this international break rather than risk any further injuries in our injury hit squad right now.
Barnes on Sancho
Speaking about Chelsea winger Estevao Willian, Barnes said via The Metro:
“Estevao is a young player who has come into the team and is doing well at the moment.
“However, I remember Jadon Sancho doing the same thing and based off that I tend to leave opinions on young players alone and wait for them to grow. We can’t start putting pressure on him yet.
“In reality, he’s had 10 good games… he’s done nothing! He’s got lots of potential, but we’ve seen that at Chelsea before and there’s lots of examples where it hasn’t worked out.”

I don’t even need to go into why this is complete nonsense, because it is. But WHAT is he on about!? Estevao has taken the Premier League by storm. Maybe Barnes should actually watch him play?
