A break-in occurred at the residence of Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders during the Sunday matchup against the Baltimore Ravens, a source confirmed to ESPN on Monday.

Sanders, selected 144th overall in the 2025 NFL draft, made his first NFL appearance in the latter half of the game, stepping in for starter Dillon Gabriel, who was placed in the concussion protocol. The game took place at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland.

    In the past year, numerous burglaries have occurred at the residences of prominent athletes, such as Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks, Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals, and Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce in October.

    In the 23-16 defeat, Sanders completed 4 of 16 passes for 47 yards and threw one interception. He was also sacked on two occasions. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski stated post-game that Sanders would start in next Sunday’s game against the Raiders in Las Vegas if Gabriel is unable to pass protocol.
