Supporters of Major League Soccer will no longer require an Apple TV Season Pass to view games in the 2026 season, sources informed ESPN.
On Thursday, sources revealed to ESPN that Major League Soccer and Apple TV will provide games to fans with a current Apple TV account.
Fans will have the ability to stream all regular-season games, Leagues Cup tournament, MLS All-Star Game, Campeones Cup, and MLS Cup Playoffs with an independent Apple TV subscription, according to sources.
The MLS Season Pass as an additional option within Apple TV will officially end at the conclusion of the 2025 season.
This decision follows the league’s announcement that the 2025 MLS Cup playoffs would be available to all Apple TV subscribers. MLS also made more than 200 regular-season games accessible to Apple TV subscribers, including all Sunday Night Soccer matches, which enabled the league to witness a rise in viewership and steer towards this recent change.
«Apple will ultimately determine the distribution approach. We’re concluding year three and having it on Apple TV so that it reaches a wider audience during our playoffs I believe is a positive, MLS commissioner Don Garber stated in October. «And we’ll step back with Apple and decide what the future distribution will look like.»
MLS will join Formula 1 within the overall Apple TV catalog, following the announcement that Apple TV has secured an exclusive five-year agreement to serve as the broadcaster for F1 in the United States starting in 2026.
Major League Baseball also has a contract with Apple TV to provide subscribers access to Friday Night Baseball at no extra charge.
