Former super welterweight champion Tim Tszyu will look to break out of a career-worst slum/p when he headlines a December 17th No Limit PPV against Anthony Velazquez in Sydney.
Tszyu (25-3, 18 KO), who stopped Tony Harrison for the interim belt before outclassing Brian Mendoza for the real deal, has dropped three of his last four. Most forgave him his gruesome split decision loss against Sebastian Fundora, which saw him fight through a headbutt-induced cut for much of the bout, but a subsequent clash with Bakhram Murtazaliev saw him dropped four times in three rounds en route to a brutal defeat. Though he bounced back by mauling Joey Spencer, he hit the deck early in his rematch with Fundra and retired in the corner after seven rounds.
