The brother of UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria displayed a well-rounded game on Saturday at ABHA Arena in Doha, Qatar, claiming two of three rounds in the bantamweight contest for a unanimous decision victory by scores of 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28.

A big moment for Topuria (7-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) came in the third round when he landed a pair of stunning right hands that had Almakhan (15-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) in trouble (via X):
Due to time constraints on the broadcast, Topuria did not get a post-fight interview in the octagon with Michael Bisping. His elation over the result was clear, however, because he embraced his team and the corner of his opponent.
