This is quite the step back from a proposed showdown with Daniel Dubois, to say the least. Knyba (17-0, 11 KO) fought three times in 2025 but has yet to beat a quality foe in his pro career, instead feasting on low- to mid-level big men like Michael Polite Coffie, Andrzej Wawrzyk, and most recently Joey Dawejko a couple weeks back on Danny Garcia’s farewell show.
He is 6’9”, though. I guess every generation needs a Mariusz Wach.
Kabayel (26-0, 18 KO), 33, has fought just once in each of the last two years. He’s not fought more than twice in a calendar year since 2014, which is maddening considering how entertaining his fights tend to be. His lone fight of 2025 saw him pulverize Zhilei Zhang’s midsection this past February for his third consecutive victory in Riyadh.
