Detroit Lions teammate Christian Mahogany told him to «be ready, you never know when your number’s going to be called.»
A few days later, when Frazier checked in on Mahogany after the Lions’ left guard broke a bone in his leg, Mahogany’s message rang true.
«He came to me, he was like, ‘See, it’s a quick turnaround,'» Frazier said. «Christian’s my dog, so it’s like hearing those words from him mean a lot … It’s just wherever they need me I’ll be ready.»

Frazier, a fifth-round pick out of LSU, took part in his first regular-season practice as a Lion on Wednesday, when he played both guard positions and right tackle.
He remains on the physically unable to perform list and is not expected to play Sunday against the Washington Commanders, but he could help for the Lions’ injury-riddled line in the coming weeks, similar to how Mahogany gave the group a boost last year as a rookie.

Dan Campbell feels ‘great’ about roster after Detroit Lions stand pat at deadline
The Lions (5-3) placed Mahogany on injured reserve Wednesday, with the expectation he will be sidelined until at least late December. Left tackle Taylor Decker and right tackle Penei Sewell also missed practice Wednesday with shoulder injuries. Decker has been dealing with his shoulder injury all season, while Sewell said he plans to play against the Commanders.
«He was kind of the guy (at LSU) that just you look around, you’re like, ‘This guy just always makes blocks. He’s just always on his guy and he’s just always finishing down the field,'» Lions coach Dan Campbell said. «And if he does get beat, it’s never fast. Guy has got to try to freaking bowl him, finally get an edge, quarterback’s holding onto the ball and it’s something late. Those are the things you want to see. He takes good angles at the second level. So there’s a lot of things that we like about him. He’s going to need reps.”
