Enzo Maresca has given an update regarding Pedro Neto’s fitness after the winger was absent during Chelsea’s match in Azerbaijan in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Maresca indicated that Neto is dealing with a minor concern, and without him, Chelsea managed a frustrating 2-2 draw against Qarabag.
Estevao showcased his talents once more, while Alejandro Garnacho netted a goal as well, but Jamie Gittens failed to capitalize on the chance he received, leading to his substitution at halftime.
Enzo Maresca updates on Pedro Neto
Neto has been a key player for Chelsea this season, participating in 14 matches across all tournaments, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
The Portuguese international has been a starter in all ten of Chelsea’s Premier League fixtures and is evidently a player that Maresca values and relies on.

Jose Mourinho praised Neto as one of the finest wingers globally prior to Chelsea’s Champions League clash against Benfica last month.
This Saturday evening, Chelsea is set to contest against Neto’s former team Wolves, and Maresca has shared an update on Neto’s condition ahead of the match.
“Pedro had a training session yesterday with the physio on the pitch, it went well, and today he will join us in training, after which we’ll make the final call,” he mentioned during his pre-match press conference.
Estevao keeps shining
Although Neto has participated in every league match this season, Estevao has arguably emerged as Chelsea’s standout winger.
The 18-year-old is among Chelsea’s top scorers this season with four goals in various competitions and has already scored twice in his inaugural Champions League season.
Maresca has indicated that Estevao is prepared to participate in consecutive matches, and it will be intriguing to see if he is chosen for the game against Wolves after playing a full 90 minutes against Qarabag in the Champions League earlier in the week.
