Marcus Thuram is back in full contention for Inter Milan, and Sunday’s clash with Lazio could finally see the return of the ‘ThuLa’ partnership alongside Lautaro Martinez.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Cristian Chivu is seriously considering reuniting the French forward with Lautaro at San Siro after a 40-day wait.
The pair have not started together since September 30, when Inter defeated Slavia Prague 3-0 in the Champions League, with Lautaro scoring twice.
Since then, injury has kept Thuram sidelined.
Meanwhile, Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito filled the gap admirably.
Inter Vs Lazio – Thuram & Lautaro Partnership Could Return
Now, the France international is ready to reclaim his place.
He has trained regularly throughout the week and is reportedly in excellent condition.
However, Chivu still faces a tight selection call between him and Bonny.
Thuram’s last Serie A appearance came on September 27, and his most recent goal dates back nearly two months to his brace against Ajax.
Hungry to get back among the goals, the Frenchman is determined to rekindle his on-field chemistry with Lautaro.
