PHILADELPHIA — Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green hobbled to the locker room late in the second quarter on Thursday evening in Philadelphia and was promptly ruled out due to a right foot injury.
Green twisted his right foot in a recent defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers and had been managing it, but seemed to aggravate the problem during a rebound attempt in the second quarter on Thursday against the Sixers.
This marks the latest in a series of troubles for the struggling 11-11 Warriors. Star guard Steph Curry is absent from the road trip due to a left thigh contusion, and wing Jimmy Butler missed the game against the Sixers with left knee discomfort.
The Warriors have suffered losses in five of their last seven games and fell behind by 20 points rapidly on Thursday after only scoring 10 points in the first quarter in Philadelphia.
