Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah was left behind for the squad’s UEFA Champions League journey to Inter Milan on Tuesday, having been temporarily excluded from the roster after an explosive interview where he criticized the club and head coach Arne Slot.
Salah, 33, who has scored just four goals in 13 Premier League matches this season, practiced with the first-team squad at the AXA Training Centre on Monday morning following his remarks after Liverpool’s 3-3 stalemate with Leeds United on Saturday.
However, by Tuesday morning, he seemed to be working out solo in the gym while his teammates were already en route to Milan.
The Egypt international shared a post on Instagram to demonstrate his commitment to training, but one can’t help but wonder who was assisting him with all that weightlifting.
Still, it’s evident that no one can say Salah has been omitted due to his lack of fitness.
