Week 16 is upon us, and for Philadelphia, it’s about winning one game to secure the NFC East, and with two matchups against the lowly Commanders, a jump to the No. 2 seed is possible.
Washington (4-10) will host Philadelphia (9-5) in an NFC battle on Saturday afternoon as part of an NFL on FOX doubleheader, with Chicago hosting Green Bay in a critical NFC North matchup. Philadelphia leads the NFC East division with a 9-5 (.643) record and currently holds the No. 3 seed in the conference playoff picture.

The Commanders will host the Eagles in Week 16 for the second consecutive season, and Washington is looking for back-to-back NFC East wins after defeating the New York Giants 29-21 in Week 15.
With kickoff fast approaching, we’re looking at ten more key stats to know.
Jalen Hurts is good under center.
Hurts is one of three NFL QBs with 30+ total TDs (30), along with Josh Allen (37) and Matthew Stafford (37). In Week 15 against the Raiders, he became the first Eagles QB to post multiple games with a 150+ passer rating (154.9) and 80.0%+ completion percentage (80.0%) in the same season, having also done so in Week 7 at Minnesota. One big reason for his improved play is OC Kevin Patullo putting Hurts under center.
#Eagles went under center a season-high 30 of 66 (45.4%) snaps vs. the Raiders. They only marginally increased the rate they throw off play-action under center, from 17 to 20%.

Nakobe Dean has been dominant.
Since returning to the Eagles’ defense in Week 7, Nakobe Dean has recorded the highest PFF pass rush grade (92.3), pass rush win rate (30.0%), and pressure percentage (36.7%) among NFL off-ball LBs (min. 30 pass rush snaps). In that span, Dean, who is the first Eagle to have multiple strip-sacks since Haason Reddick in 2022, ranks 2nd among off-ball LBs with 4.0 sacks, behind Eric Wilson (5.0). He is also the only player with 50+ tackles (53), 4.0+ sacks, and 2+ FFs since Week 7.
Nakobe Dean leads all off-ball LB in the #NFL in sacks since Week 10 (4.0).
Dean has 10 pressures on 22 pass rushing snaps — a 45.5% pressure rate.

Howie Roseman hit the jackpot on Moro Ojomo.
Ojomo, a third-year pass-rushing defensive tackle, entered training camp looking for a breakout season after the departure of Milton Williams. Ojomo finished the 2024 season with 20 total tackles (six solo) in 17 regular-season games. This season, he’s developed into a reliable interior pass-rusher for the Eagles. Ojomo’s 44 pressures are 8th among NFL defensive tackles, and his 74.7 overall grade is top 15 according to PFF.

Take a bow for the Eagles’ secondary
For the season, Philadelphia has held opponents to the league’s lowest completion percentage (56.0%). That is the Eagles’ best figure allowed through 14 contests since the 2008 campaign (53.9%). Philadelphia has surrendered just 13 passing TDs, which ranks 2nd in the NFL, trailing only L.A. Chargers (12). The Eagles remain the only NFL team that has not allowed a passing TD on third or fourth down (last NFL team to do so through 14 games was the 2008 Colts).

Eagles’ defensive efficiency
The Eagles rank 5th in the NFL in defensive EPA (70.9), behind Seattle (111.1), Houston (99.6), Cleveland (98.9), and L.A. Rams (74.8).
Quinyon Mitchell will be an All-Pro.
According to Next Gen Stats, Quinyon Mitchell leads all NFL CBs with seven games allowing 10-or-fewer yards in coverage and catch permitted rate (41.6%) (min. 50 targets). He also ranks 2nd in tight windows forced (41.6%) and average target separation (1.8) – behind Pat Surtain II (45.3% and 1.7) in each category – as well as passer rating allowed (61.4), trailing only Derek Stingley (57.0) (min. 50 targets). Mitchell has not allowed a passing TD in 540 coverage snaps this season.

Zack Baun back-to-back All-Pro seasons?
Zack Baun is no longer a secret, and after earning All-Pro honors in 2024, he’s among the best in the NFL. Baun is the only NFL player to register 100+ tackles (team-high 108), 3.0+ sacks (3.5,) and 3+ takeaways (2 INTs, 1 FR) in 2025.
Jaelan Phillips has been clutch.
Jaelan Phillips is tied for the 8th-most pressures (56) in the NFL this season, trailing only Micah Parsons (83), Aidan Hutchinson (77), Will Anderson (76), Nik Bonitto (67), Josh Hines-Allen (67), Myles Garrett (63), and Danielle Hunter (57) in that category. He has a team-high 27 pressures since being acquired by the Eagles at the trade deadline.

Saquon Barkley is approaching personal history.
He’s far below his 2,005-yard pace, but Barkley (940) needs only 60 rushing yards to have his fifth career 1,000+ yard rushing campaign. Since Week 8, Barkley has produced the 8th-most rushing yards (571) in the league with three touchdowns.
Eagles’ WR Duo
Since Week 3, DeVonta Smith (820) and A.J. Brown (805) rank 8th and T-10th, respectively, among NFL WRs in receiving yards. The only other duo of WR teammates who rank in the top 10 during that stretch are Amon-Ra St. Brown (980, 4th) and Jameson Williams (805, T-10th). A.J. Brown has logged the 5th-most receiving yards (383) in the NFL since Week 12, trailing only Puka Nacua (517), CeeDee Lamb (419), Amon-Ra St. Brown (405), and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (395) in that span.

Dallas the Great
Goedert ranks T-4th in the NFL (2nd among TEs) with a career-high nine receiving TDs, behind Davante Adams (14), Amon-Ra St. Brown (11), and Trey McBride (10). Goedert, who led the team with 70 receiving yards and 2 TDs in Week 15, is 1 TD shy of the Eagles TE record that Pete Retzlaff set during the 1965 season (10).
