Minnesota Gophers in the NFL Week 16

We are down to the final stretch as teams close in on playoff berths, or see their season winding down. That gives new opportunities to some as Ethan Robinson made his NFL debut after being called up from the Dolphins practice squad! Some veterans will see their seasons wind down, but there are always time to make plays like the huge fumble recovery for a TD by Tyler Nubin against the Vikings. Here is the full Week 16 recap.

Week 17 @ Green Bay Packers—Saturday Night

Rashod Bateman WR

Bateman played 38 offensive snaps in the loss to New England that put the Ravens playoff hopes on life support. He was targeted twice but did not make a catch.

Daniel Faalele RG

Faalele played all 55 offensive snaps and five more on special teams in the Ravens loss.

Dallas Cowboys

Week 16 vs Los Angeles Chargers

Week 17 @ Washington Commanders—Christmas

Brevyn Span-Ford TE

Span-Ford played 11 offensive snaps and 12 special teams snaps in the loss to the Chargers. He had one solo special teams tackle.

Houston Texans

Week 16 vs Las Vegas Raiders

Week 17 @ Los Angeles Chargers—Saturday

Aireontae Ersery— LT

Ersery played 53 snaps on offense and five on special teams in the Texans win over Las Vegas. He left the game in the 4th quarter with a hand injury, but should hopefully be back for Saturday’s game.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Week 16 @ Denver Broncos

Week 17 @ Indianapolis Colts

Eric Murray S

Murray played 52 defensive snaps in the Jags huge win in Denver. He had five tackles, four of them solo.

Danny Striggow DE

Striggow missed the game in Denver with a sprained ankle.

Week 17 vs Houston Texans—Saturday

Benjamin St. Juste CB

St. Juste played 29 defensive snaps and 14 special teams snaps in the win over Dallas, He recorded six tackles, three of them solo and passed a pass breakup.

Las Vegas Raiders

Week 16 @ Houston Texans

Week 17 vs New York Giants

Cody Lindenberg LB

Lindenberg played 27 special teams snaps and did not record a stat.

Miami Dolphins

Week 16 vs Cincinnati Bengals

Week 17 vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Ethan Robinson CB

Robinson was signed to the Dolphins active roster before the game against the Bengals from the practice squad. He made his NFL debut and played eight snaps on special teams. He did not record a stat.

Minnesota Vikings

Week 16 @ New York Giants

Week 17 vs Detroit Lions—Christmas

Blake Cashman LB

Cashman played all 56 defensive snaps in the win over the Giants. He led the Vikings with 16 tackles, seven of them solo.

Max Brosmer QB

Brosmer played the second half after JJ McCarthy injured his hand and helped the Vikings to his first NFL win. He played 29 snaps and went 7-9 for 52 yards and ran the ball three times for -3 yards. With McCarthy ruled out, Brosmer will start on Thursday against the Lions.

New England Patriots

Jack Gibbens LB

Gibbons played all 55 defensive snaps and 7 more on special teams in the win over Baltimore. He led the Patriots with 10 tackles, three of them solo and one for a loss as well as a QB hit.

Jordan Howden S

Howden played nine defensive snaps and 18 on special teams in the win over the Jets. He did not record a stat.

New York Giants

John Michael Schmitz C

JMS played 42 offensive snaps before leaving with a hand injury and is questionable for this week’s game.

Tyler Nubin S

Nubin played 50 defensive snaps and 8 on special teams in the loss to the Vikings. He recorded six tackles, four of them solo and added a pass defense. He also picked up a JJ McCarthy fumble and ran the ball 27 yards for his first touchdown on the season!
