Bayern Munich News: Konrad Laimer ‘open to everything’ with future; FC Bayern still wants Fisnick Asllani; Bayern ignoring interest in Michael Olise; and MORE!

Every day is a good day to thank the members of this community, but why not now? You are all here because you are Bayern Munich fans — or you at least like arguing about Bayern Munich (we don’t judge!), but this place has developed, evolved, and changed some over the years. Yet through it all, you are here — and that is the important thing.

We could not do what we do with out all of you being here. To the BFW staff, massive thanks for all your hard work. We are the biggest, baddest, Bayern Munich fan-run site on web and I will personally fight anyone who denies it. Okay, that is not in the Christmas spirit, but you get the point.

It takes a lot to be part of the staff here. We have a schedule to run, games to cover, and opinions/commentaries to produce, yet you show up every day (or at least mostly every day) with fresh ideas and a strong desire to cover the team through good and bad. Saying thanks will never be enough.

To the community, you are the life blood of the site. Whether we are celebrating a big win, lamenting a tough loss, bitching about grass conditions, or debating the merits of one player or coach vs. another, you are here giving your takes, reacting with us, and keeping us in check. Your work here is never done and you always show up willing to engage. Without you all, we would be cooked.

So, thanks to the staff, thanks to the community, and thanks to everyone who checks in every now and again to see how things are going. We appreciate you all…I appreciate you all (even when you call me a dope).

Konrad Laimer’s contract runs out in 2027, so it is about that time to start thinking about what might be next.

“Of course, I’m thinking about what the future holds. I feel very comfortable here. I’m always open to everything and am relaxed. And as I said, I think it’s great here in Munich,” Laimer said.

While not ominous or anything, it is easy to see how Laimer could be an attractive player to other clubs. Always a good player, Laimer has elevated his game to another level over the last two seasons and become an indispensable part of the lineup.

Right now, Laimer is the 13th highest paid player on the Bayern Munich roster — a status he will surely be seeking to change. Laimer currently makes a base salary of €9 million, with a bonus structure of €2.25 million.

Rumors continue to swirl that Bayern Munich has a concrete interest in Hoffenheim striker Fisnick Asllani:

They have one player on the list, Fisnik Asllani, again of Hoffenheim. He’s a striker, currently playing for the Kosovo national side, but he was born in Berlin and speaks German. So, FC Bayern are thinking of him. The 23-year-old has a release clause of about €30m (£26.2m), and perhaps he can be the next player in the squad with German roots. Also, it’s worth pointing out that he knows how the Bundesliga works and is a young talent.

It is hard to believe a 23-year-old would be super-eager to join Bayern Munich given Harry Kane’s expected contract extension. Sure, an apprenticeship under Kane is worth something, but it does not replace game time when it comes to development.

Paris Saint-Germain could attempt to outspend the competition for FC Köln attacker Said El Mala:

PSG are targeting Said El Mala!

👉 Summer fee discussed: €50–60m.

👉 Interest: Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Brighton and Man United.

👉 Winger seen as one of Germany’s brightest talents.

Manchester City loanee Claudio Echeverri is leaving Bayer Leverkusen in January, but will be heading right back out the door to Girona:

Manchester City forward Claudio Echeverri has agreed to go out on loan to Girona until the end of the season, Fabrizio Romano reports. The Argentina youth international’s previous loan stint, at Bayer Leverkusen, was cut short by the Bundesliga club after he failed to make the required impact. He will remain at Girona until June, as no permanent transfer clause has been inserted into the deal at this stage.

Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea are all interested in Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, but do not expect the Bavarians to entertain offers on the Frenchman:

✅ It is TRUE: Michael Olise is on the list of multiple European sides. Beyond Real Madrid we can also add Manchester City. Pep Guardiola, as we know, would be very happy to get this deal done. However, Bayern Munich are a buyer’s club, not a seller’s club. So, if they don’t want to sell – they won’t sell. And Olise is most certainly one talent they don’t want to sell. This season in particular has shown that both Harry Kane and Michael Olise are indispensable to the squad.

He’s already got a long-term contract at the Allianz Arena, and don’t forget that Bayern Munich are already working hard on giving him more money with an updated contract (including one year more). So, at the moment, this means no chance for Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, and we can add many more to this list.

Yeah, none of those clubs can wake up expecting to see Olise under their respective Christmas trees any time soon.
