With the regular season officially in the books, NFL teams have begun signing players to reserve / future contracts—moves that secure a player’s rights for the upcoming year. These deals don’t activate until the start of the next league season, but they prevent other teams from negotiating with the player in the meantime.
On Friday, the Cleveland Browns announced that former Texas A&M standout and current CFL punter Nik Constantinou will sign a future deal with the organization.

Before arriving in Aggieland, Constantinou developed his game with the PEGS football club in his home country of Australia. He spent four seasons with the Aggies and earned the starting job in his second year, eventually becoming a two‑time All‑SEC selection. After the 2024 NFL Draft, he signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted free agent, though he was also selected by the Hamilton Tiger‑Cats in the CFL Draft—and ultimately chose the Canadian route.
Across two seasons with Hamilton, Constantinou averaged 47.6 yards per punt with a long of 84 yards over 36 games. He improved his average by nearly a full yard from 2024 to 2025, showcasing both consistency and growth in the pro ranks. Now, he’ll get his shot to compete for an NFL roster spot in Cleveland.
