Panthers LT Ekwonu exits game with knee injury

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Left tackle for the Carolina Panthers, Ickey Ekwonu, has been sidelined due to a knee injury and will not return for the remaining time of Saturday’s NFC wild-card matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.

Ekwonu sustained the injury in the first quarter and was substituted by seasoned player Yosh Nijman.

The sixth overall selection in the 2022 draft had undergone an MRI in mid-December after experiencing discomfort in his knee.

This injury kept him out of the following week’s contest against Tampa Bay.
