Zuffa Boxing promoter Dana White just recently held his second formal boxing card with plenty more on the way, as he tells it. Here, White gives his reaction to the Zuffa 2 show, its fighters, and how he plans to hold more fights than he’s originally announced as he feels he’s further along in the industry than he expected to be after only two shows. Check out some excerpts below with the full media interview at the top.
White on his reaction to Zuffa 2 card and how he thinks it’s progressed from the first
“Well, you know, the production’s going to continue to get better. Like I said last week, this is a whole new team that we’re building here on this boxing show so it’s just going to get better every time we do it. You got to get the reps in…It was a great night. Everybody fought their ass off.”
On how they’re trying to entice fighters to join Zuffa through their presentation
“I wouldn’t say [our cards] is a showcase or a flex. We’re putting on shows…Tonight you saw two young, talented guys, undefeated, 14-0, 11-0, you’re going to see a lot of that this year. So at the end of 2026 if you’re still undefeated it’ll actually mean something, you fought some real guys and you made it through the year.
“We have some pretty crazy announcements that’ll be coming out over the next couple of weeks, so I’m way further in this thing than I anticipated being just two shows in.”
On Eddie Hearn wanting to reach out to him
“Yeah, it was kind of weird [considering his public statements about Zuffa]…He wanted to meet up on Sunday and we didn’t…[I’d be open to meeting with him] but I agree with what you said, guy’s been doing all these nutty interviews and then he wanted to get together and talk about I don’t know what.”
On how Zuffa will start to implement their own ranking system
“That’s a great questions. That’s something we have to start working on this week.”
On Zuffa’s ongoing plans for this year
“We’re going to be adding more shows…We’ll be doing more fights than we originally announced. And like I said, as we start to roll out over the next couple of weeks what we have going on, it’s going to rock the industry, let’s just put it that way.”
