Real Madrid seem to have already started planning for the possibility of life without Dani Carvajal, and a new name is beginning to gain attention.
According to a report from Fichajes, Brazilian right-back Wesley Franca has emerged as one of the main candidates under consideration.

Notably, the situation around Carvajal is still unresolved.
It is said that the club has prepared a proposal to extend his contract by one more season, but there are real doubts about whether the veteran defender will accept it.
He is entering the final stretch of his deal, and concerns about his physical condition are ever-growing.
As a result, the right-back position is now being treated as a priority area. The club understand that if Carvajal decides to leave, or if his situation remains unstable, they will have no choice but to enter the market.
Franca becomes an option

The young defender, currently playing for AS Roma, has been on Real Madrid’s radar for some time.
The club monitored him during his days at Flamengo, when head scout Juni Calafat identified him as a player with the qualities to succeed in Europe.
In 2025, Roma paid €25 million to secure his transfer, but his value has already risen, after having played 29 matches for the Serie A side.
Now, his growth has convinced Madrid that he could be a useful option both for the present and the future.
Reports suggest that a fee in the region of €35 million is being discussed as a possible offer. However, it is not a move the club will rush into, but the groundwork is already being laid.

For now, everything depends on Carvajal’s decision. If the captain agrees to stay, Madrid’s plans could change.
If not, Franca is one of the players ready to step into the conversation as the club’s next solution at right back.
