Contract signed until 2028
Daniel Beichler has taken over as head coach of FC Red Bull Salzburg with immediate effect. The Austrian, who most recently coached our co-operation club FC Liefering, has signed a contract with the Red Bulls until 30 June 2028.
Coach following the Salzburg Way
Daniel Beichler is a well-known figure in Salzburg and throughout Austrian football. The former Austrian international has a wealth of experience in professional football, having played in the Austrian Bundesliga (144 appearances) and in other European leagues.

He began his coaching career in 2016 as a youth coach at JAZ Süd. From the summer of 2021, Beichler has worked in Salzburg, where he coached the Red Bull Academy’s U14, U16 and U18 teams (winning two league titles) plus the UEFA Youth League team – which he led to the Final Four with impressive performances – and then FC Liefering for over two years.
Daniel Beichler will take his place on the Red Bulls’ bench for the first time this coming Sunday in the Bundesliga big match against second-placed LASK.
Also new to the coaching team is Beichler’s assistant at Liefering, Raphael Ikache, who will initially serve as his assistant coach for the final three matches of the ADMIRAL Bundesliga regular season.

The team training session under head coach Daniel Beichler will take place today at 14:00 CET at the Taxham training center (behind closed doors), with the first 20 minutes open to media representatives. A press conference with Marcus Mann, Managing Director for Sport, and the new FC Red Bull Salzburg coach will follow at 17:30 CET and will be broadcast live here on a free RBS TV live stream, as usual.
