Tennessee quarterback Joey Aguilar headed to 2026 NFL scouting combine

Tennessee senior quarterback Joey Aguilar is attempting to gain eligibility to play for the Vols in 2026.

After being granted a temporary restraining order against the NCAA for eligibility on Feb. 4, he had a preliminary injunction hearing in Knox County Chancery Court on Feb. 13. Chancellor Christopher D. Heagerty did not make a ruling on Feb. 13 for Tennessee’s signal-caller.

Aguilar will compete in the NFL scouting combine, according to Chris Low of On3.

«Still hopeful of winning in court, Tennessee’s Joey Aguilar is headed to the NFL combine just in case, and will preserve his eligibility by staying for a shorter window, only 48 hours,» Low announced.

The NFL scouting combine will take place Feb. 23–March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Former Tennessee defensive back Colton Hood, defensive back Jermod McCoy, tight end Miles Kitselman, defensive lineman Bryson Eason, defensive lineman Joshua Josephs and wide receiver Chris Brazzell II were invited to the 2026 NFL scouting combine.
