Claressa Shields will put her undisputed heavyweight championship on the line tonight against Franchon Crews-Dezurn, in a rematch of the pro debut from both women nearly 10 years ago.
Shields (17-0, 3 KO) and Crews-Dezurn (10-2, 2 KO) faced one another in their pro debuts in November 2016, with Shields winning a clear four-round decision. Both have done very well since; Shields has won world titles in five weight classes, and Crews-Dezurn is a multiple-time super middleweight titleholder. A rematch between the two has been bandied about for years, and now it’s on.
The card will also feature Chei Kenneally defending the WBA light heavyweight title against Danielle Perkins, plus more.
Patrick Stumberg will be on the call this evening. Join us!
