The flashiest day of the NFL Scouting Combine took place on Saturday in Indianapolis, as the running backs, quarterbacks, wide receivers showed off their skills and underwent athletic testing.
Based on the kind of size and athleticism the Green Bay Packers have trended towards, here are 15 players who put themselves firmly on the team’s radar ahead of next month’s draft:

Running back
-
Players: Mike Washington (Arkansas), Seth McGowan (Kentucky), Adam Randall (Clemson)
The Packers like bigger backs, and these three fit the bill, all clearing 220 pounds.
At 6-1 and 223 pounds, Washington ran an awesome 4.33 in the 40-yard dash with a 1.51 10-yard split, a 39” vertical jump and a 10-8 broad. While 118th on the consensus big board, he may be in play for as early as Round 3 after such strong testing, combined with his 1,000-yard season for the Razorbacks.
McGowan hit 4.49 in the 40 with a 1.60 10, an impressive 42.5” vert and a 10-11 broad, all at just over 6-0 and 223 pounds. He has not been quite as productive and also has some off-field issues in his past, but from purely a physical standpoint, he may be a Day 3 option.

Randall is a former receiver yet is over 6-3 and 232 pounds. He ran a 4.50 with a 1.60 10, managed a 37” vert. He had over 800 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns in 2025 and his size, combined with experience at receiver, could be attractive, although he did ironically have six drops last year.
Wide receiver
-
Players: Chris Brazzell (Tennessee), Germie Bernard (Alabama), Ja’Kobi Lane (USC), Ted Hurst (Georgia State), Skyler Bell (UConn), Bryce Lance (North Dakota State), Caleb Douglas (Texas Tech), Jeff Caldwell (Cincinnati), J. Michael Sturdivant (Florida), De’Zhaun Stribling (Ole Miss)
Wide receiver may not be the most urgent need for the Packers, but they set to lose Romeo Doubs this offseason and have three other receivers in contract years. Their average wide receiver pick has been around 6-1 and 204 pounds with a 4.48 40-yard dash.
Brazzell is 52nd on the consensus board, so he would be the most aggressive selection and is perhaps unlikely. Still, he is 6-4 and 198 pounds and ran a 4.37 in the 40. Bernard would also likely need to be a Round 2 pick and had very well-rounded testing, including a 4.48 40 at just over 6-1 and 206 pounds.

In Round 3, the likes of Lane, Hurst and Bell could come into play. Lane ran a 4.47 40 at over 6-4 and 200 pounds, while Hurst did even better with a 4.42 at just under 6-4 and 206 pounds.
Bell may be a slot for Green Bay at around 5-11 ½ and 192 pounds, which could lower his chances with Jayden Reed already on the roster. He ran a 4.40 and also excelled in the vert and broad jumps.
If the Packers wait until Day 3 to add a wideout, Lance (161st on the consensus board) currently looks like the leader in the clubhouse. At 6-3 and 204 pounds with 4.34 speed out of NDSU, he looks like a Christian Watson regen.
Douglas is another strong fit at 6-3 ½ and 206 pounds. He ran a 4.39 40 and was productive at Texas Tech.

Caldwell is an interesting story. He was primarily a soccer player entering high school, received very little recruiting interest when he did start playing football, but then had a major growth spurt between his junior and senior year, going from 5-8 to 6-5 (!). He still only got one offer from Lindenwood in the FCS and found success there, putting up over 1,000 yards and 11 touchdowns in his last year there before transferring to Cincinnati for his final college season. The receiver had a tremendous workout in Indy, running a 4.31 at 6-5 and 216 pounds. He also managed 42” in the vert and 11-2 in the broad. He could be a diamond in the rough and a worthwhile Day 3 pick.
Quarterback
-
Players: Taylen Green (Arkansas), Cole Payton (North Dakota State)
Green Bay cares about size at the quarterback position, with their picks since 2005 averaging measurements of 6-2 ½ and 225 pounds with almost 10” hands. Like at most positions, they also covet athleticism.
With that in mind, and given that many quarterbacks did not complete athletic testing, Green and Payton are the only clear fits from the combine, although Drew Allar and Carson Beck do have the kind of size they like.

Green is 6-6, ran the second-fastest 40 ever by a quarterback at the combine (4.36) and broke the record for the vert by a full three inches at 43.5”. He is wildly inconsistent in terms of accuracy but has a big arm and freakish athleticism.
Payton is a lefty, which may or may not matter. He had a great workout, running the 40 in 4.56 seconds at just over 6-2 ½ and 232 pounds and also performed well in the jumps and agility testing. He has a live arm but lacks experience, with just one year and 13 starts under his belt.
