David Adeleye has called for an explosive heavyweight clash with Daniel Dubois.
Dubois hasn’t fought since a fifth round knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk last month, while Adeleye was beaten on points against Filip Hrgovic in Riyadh last Saturday.
Adeleye has previously shared the ring in sparring with ‘Dynamite’ and insists he would be open to a fight with the 27-year-old former heavyweight world champion.
“I’d love that fight,” the 28-year-old told talkSPORT Boxing.
“That’s a good fight.

“Me and Dubois used to spar each other a lot in the gym.
“So I think the fans would be in for a real treat there.
“If you want a real shootout, get me and Dubois in the ring.”
Asked when he’ll be back in the ring, Adeleye added: “It’ll be in either October, November or December.
“I’m staying in the gym, I’m staying active.
“I’ve got to right them wrongs, I’ve got to do certain things.
“I think you guys will see a new and improved Adeleye.”
Dubois will be guided by Tony Sims for his next outing after parting ways with Don Charles, who has led his corner for the past five bouts.
The Londoner has also added prominent manager Sam Jones to his team, who told proboxing-fans.com that his new charge could return in December.
Under the guidance of Charles, Dubois became IBF heavyweight world champion and secured the biggest win of his career, knocking out Anthony Joshua in five rounds last September.
Dubois also secured victories over the aforementioned Hrgovic and Jarrell Miller, but was twice beaten by Usyk, the second in a bid to become undisputed heavyweight champion.
“I want to take this moment to thank Don Charles and his team for all the time, effort and hard work they’ve put into me over the past 18 months,” he said in a statement.
“I’m truly grateful for everything.
“That said, I feel it’s time for a change, a fresh approach for the next phase of my career, as I push forward to become a 2x heavyweight champion of the world.

“God bless.
“I’ll be making a further announcement regarding my new team structure very soon.”
