Badou Jack’s long-delayed rematch with Noel Mikaelian on December 13th is officially set to air on pay-per-view “via all major cable outlets, DIRECTV, and DISH in the United States, as well as leading digital platforms including Amazon Prime Video, PPV.com, TrillerTV, and Fubo” with a “suggested retail price” of $29.99.
Jack (29-3-3, 17 KO) edged out Mikaelian (27-3, 12 KO) this past May on Riyadh Season’s Canelo-Scull show, pretty much claiming Fight of the Night by default. It was a good bout, no big dramatic momentum swings but consistent, competitive high-volume action. Not $30 good, of course, but there’s a silver lining: “$1 from every pay-per-view purchase will be donated directly to Championing Mental Health, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness, inspiring resilience, and breaking stigmas around mental wellness through the power of sport and entertainment.”
I feel like there are more efficient ways to give to charity, but if you’re committed to watching face-punching that night and Pacheco vs Sadjo doesn’t tickle your fancy, at least you can rest easy knowing you did some good.
